Suspect On Loose After Long Island Bank Robbery

A suspect is on the loose after a bank robbery on Long Island.

A man entered the Chase branch in Shirley, located at 645 Northbound William Floyd Parkway, at about 3:45 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, and handed the teller a note demanding cash, according to Suffolk County Police.

The teller complied and the suspect fled with cash.

The robber was described as a white man with brown hair, who appeared to be in his 40s. He was wearing a dark-hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on the robbery to call the SCPD Major Case Unit at 631-852-6555 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
